Renowned Pakistani singer and actress Hadiqa Kiani is all set to make her debut in the telefilm genre with HUM TV’s highly anticipated production “Baar-e-Wafa,” premiering tonight at 9:00 PM . Remembering Aslam Latter: 20 Years Since the Passing of a Versatile Actor

 

Karachi, April 3, 2025 — Marks the 20th death anniversary of actor Aslam Latter, who passed away on April 3, 2005. As fans and admirers remember him, prayers are offered for his eternal peace. May God grant him forgiveness — Ameen.

Born in 1944 in Allahabad, Uttar Pradesh, during pre-partition India, Aslam Latter began his acting career in 1976 with the television drama “Khaliq.” Known for his portrayals of villainous and negative roles, Aslam Latter carved a niche for himself on Pakistan Television (PTV) during the golden era of drama.

He appeared in several memorable TV serials, including:

  • Shama

  • Intizaar Farmaiye

  • Hello Hello

  • Mera Naam Mango

  • Sooraj Ke Daagh

  • Afshan

  • Samundar Jaag Raha Hai

  • Saagar Ke Aansoo

  • Gunaahgaar

  • Najaat

In addition to television, Aslam also acted in Pakistani films such as Aas Paas, Hawaayein, Raju Ban Gaya Gentleman, Dupatta Jal Raha Hai, Raja Pakistani, Very Good Duniya Very Bad Log, and No Paisa No Problem.

Though he did not achieve mainstream stardom in film or television, Aslam Latter was recognized for his dedication and character acting. He remained unmarried throughout his life and was also known to be a skilled cricketer.

Aslam Latter passed away on April 3, 2005, leaving behind a quiet yet memorable legacy in Pakistan’s entertainment industry.
