Born in 1944 in Allahabad, Uttar Pradesh , during pre-partition India, Aslam Latter began his acting career in 1976 with the television drama “Khaliq.” Known for his portrayals of villainous and negative roles , Aslam Latter carved a niche for himself on Pakistan Television (PTV) during the golden era of drama. A book on celebrated singer Mehdi Hasan will be launched at a ceremony in Karachi today. Titled “ Mehdi Hasan: The man and his music” it has been penned by senior journalist Asif Noorani. Eminent poet Zehra Nigah will be the chief guest at the launching ceremony. The book has been published by the Liberty Books in collaboration with EMI Pakistan.
